Oulu Dance Hack Summit is a unique opportunity to engage with performance technology specialists from around the world in a 5-day werkstatt in Oulu Theatre.
It takes place between 23rd and 27th November 2026 as part of the official programme of Oulu2026 – European Capital of Culture.
Each of the five days runs from 9am-4pm, with a series of workshops and exploration sessions. These exploration sessions offer opportunities to collectively experiment with technologies in a performance context, share knowledge and connect with fellow artists. There is no scheduled end demo this time, but we may show something during an artist talk in Valve Cafe on Friday 26th.

Workshops generally take place each morning, with the afternoons dedicated to collective exploration of the tech and techniques introduced throughout the week.
Registration is now open for participants. The event is free of charge, and we can provide accommodation for the first 8 international participants to sign up. (Accommodation will be a room in an apartment in Oulu centre from 22nd-29th, sharing facilities with other Dancehackers)
