The concept of Dance/Tech Day has been growing over the past few years. To tie in with our AGM each Spring, we offer free workshops and events to the dancers and collaborators of Oulu.
For 2024, we are taking over the theatre space at Cultural Centre Valve for a day of activities on 11th March.
10:00 – 12:00 Performance/tech surgery
Do you have questions about how to use apply lighting, sound, interactivity, video, etc in your dance? We can test out some ideas together.
10:00 – 12:00 Photography studio
Do you need a headshot for your CV? Or have some movement ideas that might make good photographs? Jorma Palo will be setting up a photo studio and you can work with him to produce some images
12:00 – 13:00 Lunch
Always useful. Lunch can be bought from Cafe Paljetti. Coffee and snacks hiding in the dressing rooms.
13:00 – 14:00 TaikaBox Annual General Meeting
Open to all members of the association and guests. Find out about our future plans and how to get involved with projects.
14:00 – 15:00 Daytime Rave
Let your hair down and jump around! Experience the uplifting power of dance music on an exhilarating journey through the afternoon – with added interactive visuals. The session culminates in a transcendental chill-out to bring you back to earth.
Admission is free, and open to anyone.
