Maria Solei Järvet and Shang-Jen Yuan visited Oulu in September to participate in Oulu Dance Hack. Halfway through the week, we sat them down in a deconstructed greenhouse to talk about whatever they wanted.
Maria Solei lives in Denmark where she attends Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School.
Shang-Jen is a dancer, choreographer and teacher currently living in Salzburg. They share a similar outlook on the process of incorporating technology in their work. Maria Solei’s video work focuses on interesting locations and dynamic camera movement. Shang-Jen is a skilled photographer and film-maker and often uses digital imagery in his productions for stage.
